Gene Norris passed away January 19, 2015 at the age of 85.

Gene was a valued member of the GCADA, serving as president in 1981. A lifelong automobile dealer, he established Gene Norris Oldsmobile-GMC as well as Honda and Toyota dealerships.

Norris attended Berea High School and Bowling Green University. He served as President of the Berea City School District Board of Education in the 1960's, building several schools as well as founding one of the earliest vocational education schools, Polaris Career Center. He was a mentor to many young people, launching numerous careers.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at 7 p.m. at Grace Missionary Church, 7393 Pearl Rd., Middleburg Heights. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110.
